Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website!

My name is Karen Weaver. I am a credentialed coach, author, caregiver advocate, speaker and facilitator.  I help Christ-centered women with life/career challenges and transitions, while you are trying to get from where you are to where you want to go.

This may sound easy, but most of us know that sometimes navigating life and/or career can be overwhelming. During these times, you may have found yourself struggling to manage your emotions. You may feel stuck or disappointed.  Perhaps you’ve allowed a situation to steal your joy.

I believe the Lord has a divine plan for each of us and that He has given us all we need for the journey. I believe my journey has prepared me to support you. Our paths did not cross by chance. I am willing to listen generously. I will create space for you to be heard, explore, navigate, discover and achieve your desired outcome. You will be amazed at the power of a coaching conversation.

I would love to support you!

My Background

I have over 30 years of work experience including the aerospace public sector, major private industry companies and the non-profit sector. I have mentored and coached individuals and groups at all levels of organization and have over 500 hours of coaching experience. Most of my career has been in human capital management and procurement.  I’ve served as a Local Pastor in The United Methodist Church for approximately five years. In addition, I’ve overcome many challenges related to family, education, career, and eldercare issues. I offer you a safe space to explore and coach from a Christian perspective.

My Family

I am married to Kendrick O. Weaver, who was my junior high school sweet heart. We have three sons, two daughters-in-law/love and two beautiful granddaughters. I live with my husband and my father in Springdale, Maryland outside the Washington, DC area.

Reaching Up for ComfortI serve as a caregiver to my husband and my father. My husband suffered a massive stroke in 1995, when he was 39 years old. My father suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, and was diagnosed in 2015 at the age of 86.

In February 2020, I released my first book entitled “Reaching Up For Comfort”, which includes some of my caregiver experiences, questions, scriptures and prayers.
